Well, this tool lets you restore mostly all kind of date from your Android phone, but in this tutorial I will guide you how to recover deleted text messages in Android.

Step 1: Connect Your Android Phone to Computer

First of all download and install the Android Data Recovery tool in your computer. It’s a desktop tool, not an app. And then connect your phone with your computer using USB cable.

Step 2: Enable USB Debugging in Android

Before your proceed further, make sure you’ve enabled USB debugging in your Android phone. Try the steps mentioned in following picture to enable USB debugging.

If your Android OS version is 4.2.2 or above, there will be a pop up message on your Android phone, tap on OK to allow USB debugging.

Step 3: Choose File Type and then Scan the Device

Now in the next screen, select Messaging as file type and click on Next. And then scan your device for the deleted text messages. For this there’re two scanning modes available; Standard Mode and Advanced Mode.
We recommend you to try “Standard Mode” first, which works faster. If it doesn’t find the files you are looking for, you can then try “Advanced Mode”.
Now click on the Start button to begin scanning and analyzing your device.
